Event HQ: St Ives Leisure Centre, Cornwall

Keen cyclists are being offered the opportunity to enjoy a truly spectacular route around the most westerly and south-westerly peninsulas in Britain as Cornwall Council and its partners launches the Lands End 100 CycloSportive.

On 16 October 2011 up to 500 cyclists who have entered the event will take either a 100 mile or 100 km route around West Cornwall.

Those riders undertaking the 100 mile route will cycle the coast road around West Cornwall taking in the most westerly point in the British Isles at Lands End and the most southerly point at the Lizard Peninsula before heading to the North coast and back to St Ives.

Those entered for the 100 km route will follow the coast road to Lands End and part of the way to Lizard Point before cutting across country to join the North coast around Portreath and come back down to St Ives.

The event is being managed and run by Cornwall Council in partnership with One and All Cycling Club and will start and finish at St Ives Leisure Centre which will be used as race headquarters and has changing, showering and toilet facilities on site that competitors may use.
