Event: Sunday 6th March 2011, Captain Cook Challenge Ride, Saltburn, Cleveland, TS12 1HJ

Kick start your 2011 sportive season with the Captain Cook Challenge, on Sunday 6th March. Offering a choice of either 87 or 57 mile routes across the Cleveland Hills and North York Moors, the longer route has 2,000 metres of climbing and takes in the infamous Rosedale Chimney, one of Britain's steepest roads.

All riders start & finish at Saltburn Leisure Centre, heading towards Whitby then back inland to circle Captain Cook's monument and finish under the shadow of Roseberry Topping.

Open to all, 100 places left, riders depart from 9.30am. Enter at www.bcne.co.uk or on the day from 9.00 entry £22.00
