Competitors have a choice of completing the whole four day ride or just one of the four, one day, stage rides. All accommodation, facilities, food and support are provided within the entrance fee. The LGBBR Team aim to take care of everything so that Riders can just concentrate on the event and enjoy the challenge.
The four ‘night stops' will be hosted by local rugby clubs and a tented village will be ready and waiting at the end of each day, with hot food, drinks and the hospitality only rugby clubs can offer. This exciting new event is designed for all participants to have fun; meet new friends and get a real sense of achievement by completing the first Lexus Great British Bike Ride.
We are proud to announce that the benefiting Charities for 2010 will be ‘Help for Heroes', The Rugby Players Association Benevolent Fund and the RFU Injured Players Foundation. This year's ride, will be the first in a series of annual events which aim to raise £1.5 Million for charity over the next 5 years, with the inclusion of additional regions, additional sports and additional charities.
So, if you think you have what it takes to face the challenge of the Lexus Great British Bike Ride or one of the four stages, then sign up now and we will see you when you arrive at Twickenham Stadium on the day of the Guinness Premiership Double Header in September.
Our event Ambassador, British & Irish Lions, England and Saracens legend Richard Hill MBE will be riding the event and said "Good luck to all competitors and I look forward to meeting you, riding with you and enjoying what I am sure will be a rousing reception at Twickenham."
