Dartmoor Classic Entries Accelerating

Evidence of the rapid popularity growth of what many recognise as one of the UK's best sportives is currently being clearly demonstrated by an unusually early demand for places. By the New Year, and with 6 months still to go, the Dartmoor Classic had already filled 40% of its planned 2000 capacity. This puts the take-up rate 2 months ahead of the previous figures, which led to entries closing early and an estimated 500 riders failing to make the cut. The message is now very clear. Interest in the Mid-Devon Cycling Club / Colin Lewis Cycles promotion is accelerating and heading for yet another sell-out. With acceptance being on a first-come-first-served basis, it will be those who book early who will secure the remaining slots in the ride through the Dartmoor National Park on June 27th. Amongst the riders so far listed for the UCI sanctioned event are several entrants from overseas, including those from Germany, Holland and the USA. For full details click on www.dartmoorclassic.co.uk
