The organisers of the ever-popular New Forest Rattler are offering some nice little additions for the 2012 event, which will roll out of Moyles Court School on Sunday 19 August.

The New forest offers some excellent cycling terrain

At the request of previous Rattler participants, 2012 will see the introduction of the ‘Rattler village’ where riders and their families will have the opportunity to camp at the event Headquarters. Set in the heart of the New Forest and within the stunning grounds of Moyles Court School, riders will get the opportunity to socialise and meet fellow riders before riding with them on the Sunday.

Booking camping and accommodation in the New Forest during the summer can be quite tricky if you leave it late, so if you are travelling from far away then the camping option could prove to be very useful.

Facilities on site will include:

  • Claud the Butler serving awesome coffee and pre-ride food
  • Pasta bar serving hearty, energy packed meals to ensure you feel good for your ride the following day
  • BBQ serving local New Forest produce
  • Live music
  • Showers and toilets
  • Plus more TBA in the weeks leading up to the event

Demand for the camping has been high, so if you want to take advantage of this and enjoy a weekend away in the glorious New Forest, then make sure you book soon via the event website.

In addition to the above the event photographer, George Burgess and his team are offering a new photo service for 2012. Riders will be able to view their photos after completing the Rattler and take them away on the day.
