Event: 12 November 2011
Location: Richmond, North Yorkshire
For the third year running, Colomba CC is running the late season Colomba Chemo Classic Sportive, in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Taking place on Sat 12 November on the roads of the Yorkshire Dales, the route starts in Richmond and follows the dales up through Leyburn, Middleham and Coverdale, going down Park Rash and back round through Kettlewell, past Aysgarth Falls to Reeth where there is a choice of an easy or hard route back to Richmond.
The event is this year supported by Sky Procycling pros Alex Dowsett and Ben Swift, both of whom will be riding the event for the third year on the trot. Alex and Ben will also be attending a charity auction and dinner where attendees will be able to meet and greet with the Team Sky pros.
Best of all, the event is supported by Colomba, purveyors of fine merino cycling jerseys and pork pie concern Vale of Mowbray. Think about it - pies, pros, merino and great riding in the Yorkshire Dales, all in support of a worthy cause. You need a very good excuse not to ride...
