This Sunday 07th June, the Scottish Cycling National 25 Mile Time Trial Championships will take place in Irvine, North Ayrshire.

Nearly 150 of Scotland’s best time trial riders will set off one by one to battle it out against the clock on the 25 Mile course.  Riders are expected to set some extremely fast times on this demanding course which follows the A78 and A71.

Among the riders will be recently crowned 2015 Scottish Cycling National Olympic Time Trial Champion Lynsey Curran (Dooleys-Cycles.co.uk) from Glasgow as well as 2014 reigning champion Iain Grant (Fullarton Wheelers).  Glasgow based cyclist Grant is not only the 2014 25 Mile Champion but has held the title since 2012. Grant also recently won the Scottish Cycling 10 mile Time Trial Championships which took place in Bishopton.

Craig Burn, Scottish Cycling’s Chief Executive said: Scottish Cycling are delighted that the Scottish Cycling National Championships are taking place in Irvine. This is a chance for the best riders throughout the country to come together and compete for a coveted National Championship title on one of our many great courses we have here in Scotland.”

“Scottish Cycling would like to thank organiser Fiona Walker and the local cycling community as well as all the volunteers, officials and riders who make events like this possible.”
