- MTB National School of Racing, Drumlanrig Castle August 14thScottish Cycling will be hosting a National School of Racing for Mountain Biking at Drumlanrig on Saturday the 14th of August. This session is open to either Youth A or B (birth years of 94, 95, 96 & 97 for 2010), and is designed to help you the rider learn and become a better bike racer. The NSR will be led by Paul Newnham (Olympic Talent Coach MTB) and each category will have an appropriate level of coaching for their age and ability. The days coaching will look at technical skills, race tactics, bike set up and fitness. National School of Racing are designed for riders with the talent, ambition and attitude to develop into a successful racing cyclist. If that sounds like you then sign up today!The day's coaching will run from 11am-5pm and will cost £5 (plus £4 entry to the castle) If you are wanting to attend please e-mail by Friday the 6th of August and further details will be sent out. If you are not sure whether this session is for you please e-mail a short paragraph detailing your experience. Riders wanting to attend must meet the following criteria• A competent Mountain biker• Has either raced before or planning to race in the near future• Attending or planning to attend local GO-RIDE club sessions.• A "can do" attitude that will get you through a 6 hour day!
