Cyclist dies after road accident near Comrie

50-year-old cyclist, John Yates from Glasgow Ivy Club has died after an accident on a road (B827 - just south of Comrie) in Perth and Kinross over the weekend.

During the Ivy 100 in 8 run on Sunday, John took a fall, recieving serious head injuries.

A doctor was present at the scene who looked after John until he was airlifted from the scene in Comrie to the Southern General hospital. John sadly passed away shortly after.
