Guinness World Record Attempt - Most Electricity Generated By Bicycle In 24 Hours

'We are staging a Guinness World Record Attempt to generate electricity over a 24 hour period using 21 bicycles attached to a roller. The attempt run from 5pm on Friday 27th August to 5pm on Saturday 28th. The event is taking place in Coalburn, South Lanarkshire.

Also on the 28th, we are having a Sustainable Saturday family fun day celebration and we will have numerous activities including: healthy cooking demonstrations, massage therapies, dance mats and smoothie bike makers'.

The aim of the event is to promote:

· Awareness of sustainable issues like energy efficiency and renewable technologies

· To promote cycling and physical and mental well being

· Demonstrate what communities can achieve by working together.
