Round 1 - Innerleithen Mini Downhill Series 27th June
The sun shone, the BBQ sizzled and the giant air bag soaked up the bikes, as 50 of Scotland's newest downhillers took part in round 1 of the Innerleithen Mini Downhill series on Sunday. Designed to introduce riders to downhilling, the series is for ages 10-16 with riders pushing their bikes up to the start-if they couldn't convince their parents to push the bike that is !
On a short, dry and fast course some impressive times were posted, the riders full of energy and enthusiasm. Fastest time of the day went to Christopher Gallagher at 1.20, with Rebecca Kennedy not far behind at 1.53 in the girls' race.
