Scottish Cycling Youth and Time Trial Championships

The Discovery Junior Cycling Club once again host the youth time trial championship this Sunday. based on the tried and trusted circuit around Monikie Country Park covering 20km (13 miles). The event starts and finished in the park with a rolling course for the riders to cover, with the main climb usually being into a head wind.
Amongst the favourites will be Sean Noon (ERC), Hamish Carrick (ERC) and Stephen Brown (Granite City RT). Finn Harrod will be flying the flag for the organising club. Julia Kenneth (SWC), Elena Melton (Cairngorm CC) and Keira Johnston (Glasgow Riderz), are the youth A girls entered, but ERC pairing Emma Borthwick and Eleanor Strathdee will be trying to make their mark.
The event also includes an open TT over the same course, with team prizes available for the best related youth/adult partnership, the adults obviously aiming to be quicker than their offspring.....
