2023 is a year that will live long in the memory, one that has brought about the very best in the Scottish Cycling community, and it’s time to recognise those special people.

Today (Friday 22nd September) the nomination window opens for the 2023 Scottish Cycling Awards, which will take place at Crieff Hydro on Saturday 25th November. After the success of the 2022 edition, which brought the Conference and Awards together for the first time, we’re looking to build on that memorable day at Hampden Park, but raising the bar. We’re delighted to have secured Crieff Hydro as a venue for the 2023 edition, which will serve as a fitting backdrop to a year that has had the inaugural UCI Cycling World Championships as its centrepiece, and we look forward to celebrating the impact it has had, and will continue to have.

Last year, some 230 guests enjoyed our Awards Dinner, and celebrated as the likes of Fin Graham and Neah Evans scooped the Athlete of the Year prizes, whilst some familiar and extremely worthy figures from our community were also recognised, such as Volunteer of the Year Matthew Ball, and Pauline Capaldi collecting the Recreational Cycling Award.

But who will scoop the nine prizes on offer at the 2023 event? Well, that’s down to you, our Scottish Cycling community.

Do you know someone out there in your club or local cycling group who deserves recognition for all their hard work? Or perhaps you know an athlete who is deserving of our athlete of the year prizes?

The nine awards up for grabs are:

Female Rider of the Year
Male Rider of the Year
Talent Coach of the Year
Community Coach of the Year
Club of the Year
Recreational Cycling Award
Volunteer of the Year
Event of the Year
Breakthrough Rider of the Year (Braveheart Trophy)

Without a nomination, your heroes won’t stand a chance of scooping one of our amazing prizes. Nominations must be no longer than 300 words, so aren’t too arduous, but must be submitted via the form below before the deadline on Sunday 8th October (nominations close at midnight).
