Tim Shoreman won both the National Road Race and Circuit titles in a packed weekend of racing, which saw Scots in action at the Tour of Britain, UCI MTB World Cup and La Vuelta.
Men’s Road Race Champs
Tim Shoreman (Wheelbase CabTech Castelli) won the reduced bunch sprint up the Glax Hill to take his first Scottish National Road Race title, after an exciting 135km of racing in Alford.

Circuit Championships
Eilidh Shaw (Alba Road Team) returned from injury in style by claiming the win at the Scottish National Circuit Championships at Fife Cycle Park on Saturday, with brother Struan taking the victory in the Youth A boys category.
Tim Shoreman won the first of his titles in Saturday’s Men Circuit Champs with Ahron Dick (The Cycling Academy) claiming the Junior title.
Millie Thomson (Deeside Thistle) and Kayla Dinnen (Dumfries CC) claimed the Junior Women’s and Youth A girls’ titles respectively.

UCI World Cup
Scots headed to the French Alps for the latest round of the UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup.
It was another impressive performance from Phoebe Gale (Canyon CLLCTV) with a fourth-place finish in Loudenvielle, as the Scot continues to impress in her debut season at the Elite level. Louise Ferguson came home in 11th place in the semi-final and narrowly missed out on a run in the final.
Aimi Kenyon (Pinkbike) came home in 11th place in the Junior field, with Nina-Yves Cameron finishing in 16th place.
A small mistake in Greg Williamson’s (Madison-Saracen) semi-final run saw the Highlander miss out on the final, finishing in 44th place.
Tour of Britain
Mark Stewart (Bolton Equities Black Spoke) and Finn Crockett (Saint Piran) were the two Scots flying the flag in the Tour of Britain.
Stewart rode well in the final stages of the race to come home 16th on the overall, after finishing 13th on the final stage into Caerphilly.
Crockett spent Stage 2 on the attack into Wrexham, and looked strong throughout the week long race, finishing 30th in the general classification.
La Vuelta
Sean Flynn (Team dsm-firmenich) continues to impress at his debut grand tour, with the Scotsman’s 16th place yesterday into Lekunberri in the Basque Country being the latest strong ride by the former Tudor Pro rider.
Rás na mBan
A number of Scots riding for Alba Development RT and Jadan Vive-le-Velo p/b Glasdon were in Ireland for the Ras na mBan.
Scottish national champion Beth Harley-Jepson (Jadan) was in strong form, finishing in fifth in the Stage 5 Time Trial on her way to a 12th place finish overall.
Jenny Holl was guesting for Alba RT and was on the attack with a day in the breakaway and a brace of top ten stage finishes.
