As the largest cycling membership organisation in Scotland, Scottish Cycling supports a network of around 200 progressive, safe and inclusive clubs, where everyone can grow and thrive. As part of our commitment to developing the club landscape, our Club Development Team share a monthly update with all clubs, highlighting key opportunities and relevant developments.
For the month of October 2021, we'd like to focus on the following areas:
Club Minimum Operating Standards
As advised at the time of affiliation opening in October 2020, Scottish Cycling has introduced Minimum Operating Standards (MOS) for clubs. Club committees should now have been contacted by their region's CDC with a checklist of what still needs completed for re-affiliation. Club Affiliation will go live on Monday 18th October.
Events Calendar Compilation
Clubs should now have been contacted by your region's CDC regarding the compilation of the Events Calendar for the 2022 season. The deadline for the submission of events for next year's calendar has been extended – please ensure you enter your submissions by 23:45 on Sunday 10th October.
R.A.C.E National
The application deadline for MTB only has been extended to Sunday 10th October.

Go-Ride Free Memberships
Clubs that are eligible for Go-Ride Free Memberships should now have been contacted by their region's CDC. If you believe your club is eligible for free memberships and has yet to be contacted, please get in touch with your CDC.
