Join us online for our special #SCWomenTalk panel discussion event, Getting Started in Cycling, part of the Glasgow Women on Wheels Festival on Tuesday 28th September 7-8pm*.

The Glasgow Women on Wheels Festival programme, running throughout September, is packed full of events and activities in support and celebration of women’s cycling. At this event our all-female panel will focus on the experience of women getting started in cycling.

The session is hosted by Sophie McCall, Head of Development, overseeing Club Development, Events and Participation at Scottish Cycling.

The panel is:

-       Sharon Allison, HSBC UK Breeze Area Coordinator for West of Scotland

-       Kattalin Atorrasagasti, HSBC UK Breeze Champion, leading rides in the east end of Glasgow

-       Sharon Taylor, club cyclist and ride leader with Glasgow Gals

-       Shgufta Anwar, Active Travel and South Hub Lead with Bike for Good

Join our panel to hear their experiences first learning to cycle, supporting other women to ride and attending group rides. Learn more about what you need to consider when choosing your bike and clothing and different opportunities that can help you to progress your cycling.

We’ll be hosting this session on Zoom and you’ll have the opportunity to submit questions to the panel as the discussion unfolds. Please email any questions you would like to submit in advance to: recreation@scottishcycling.org.uk

This topic should be of particular interest to women just getting started in cycling or women considering giving it a go.

We will record the session and upload to our YouTube Channel, so if you cannot attend on this date, you can watch the session back later.

*Please note the new date for this webinar - POSTPONED from Monday 20th September, this event will now take place on Tuesday 28th September, 7-8pm.
