Scottish Cycling Publish UK School Games Selection Policy 2021

The 2021 UK School Games will be held in Loughborough University from the 3rd – 5th September 2021. 

This event will pitch the best British riders from across the five English regions, Scotland, Wales and Ulster against each other to be crowned region UK School Games Champions.  Cycling will have two event competitions at the School Games in 2021, road/track and BMX.  It is the first time BMX has been included with the UK School Games and it is the intention for Scottish Cycling to send both Road / Track and BMX Teams.

The BMX event will offer the opportunity for a Scottish Team of 6 riders (3 male and 3 female athletes) from the age group 14 and 15 in 2021.  The Road / Track event will offer the opportunity for a Scottish Team of 8 riders (4 male and 4 female athletes).  Male riders from Youth A in 2021 and Female riders from Youth A and B2 in 2021.

Scottish Cycling Alumni of the UK School Games include GBCT and SC Performance athletes such as: Jenny Holl, Lewis Stewart, Oscar Onely, Aaron King, Imani Pereira James, Morven Yeoman, Ross Birrell and Daniel Kain.
