During the challenging times presented by the Coronavirus pandemic, our wellbeing has become more important than ever.

With this in mind, at Scottish Cycling, we are offering a range of activities and resources as part of our Mental Health Awareness Week (1 - 7 February 2021).

Share your story

What are your stories? How has riding your bike helped? Have you enjoyed a slower pace of life? Have you managed to accomplish something you thought impossible?

We would love to hear your story. Email communications@scottishcycling.org.uk and share the positivity.

Monday 1 February: #SportHour

Join members of the Scottish Cycling Young People's Panel and Women's Development Group for sportscotland #SportHour, 9 - 10pm on Twitter. This months theme is "Supporting Mental Health".

Wednesday 3 February: #SCTalks

This months online panel discussion will focus on the role of physical activity on mental wellbeing. Evidence shows that partcipation in sport can increase self-esteem and reduce anxiety. Our panel members discuss how exercise can suport mental health during stressful times as well as the impact of high performance sport on wellbeing.

The panel discussion will be held on Zoom which will allow members of the Scottish Cycling community to tune in and submit questions to the panel members as the discussion unfolds.

We will record the session, so if you cannot make it, you will be able to watch it later.
