Scottish National Team Time Trial Championship

Saturday 24th August 2019

Forfar

Organised by Discovery Junior Cycling Club, the Scottish National Team Time Trail Championship will take place this weekend in sunny Forfar. Last year Dooleys Cycles dominated the womens category with Lynsey Curran, Laura Nicolson, and Mireille Captieux taking the win. The men's race was won by the team of Pro Vision which included Scottish Championship regulars John Archibald, David Griffishs, Rob Freil and Jason Roberts. The weather promises to be good so expect fast times over the 40 mile course.

Scottish National Downhill MTB Championship

Sunday 25th August 2019

Glencoe

Glencoe will once again host the Scottish National Downhill Championships on Sunday. There are some big names missing from the line up with last years champion Reece Wilson in Canada at the World Championships and womens winner Mikayla Parton out with an injury which leaves the championships wide open. Scottish Cycling Young People Panel Member, and last years youth boys winner Ryan Brannen, will be racing for Leslie Bike Shop.

European Youth MTB Championships

20th - 24th August 2019

Pila - Valle D'Aosta

A big group of Scottish Youth and Juvenile riders have headed out to Pila to compete across four days and multiple races. The very best of luck to these up and coming young riders.

N-Fuse North West Youth and Junior Tour

24th - 26th August 2019

North West England

This weekend a group of 35 young riders head down to the North West of England to participate in a 3 day stage race which has something for everyone. On Saturday it features a 4.5 km TT along the Morecambe promenade before the riders take on a hilly closed road race ranging from 3 laps of a 3.3 km circuit up to 12 laps for the junior women. The final stage on Monday sees riders taking on a criterium at Lancaster university. This race has something for each different type of rider whether it is a short TT effort, a hill top finish or a flat crit.
