Race the Volcano

11th August

Forget Zwift - this is your chance to race on a real volcano. Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh rises above the world's greatest city park, with the Queen's Drive climb one of the most hotly contested Strava segments.

In 1970's it provided the course for the Commonwealth Games Road Race and on the 11th of August provides the start/finish for the final stage of The Women's Tour of Scotland, a major UCI stage race.

Clear your diaries for this very special closed road youth event. The last eruption was 340 million years ago.

Women’s Tour of Scotland

9th – 12th August

The first ever women’s tour of Scotland is set to be an outstanding world class permanent UCI calendar professional race fixture. The three day, three stage race will be contested by many of the top women’s teams in the world – plus the cream of Great Britain and Scotland’s female cycling talent.

The first stage from Dundee to Dunfermline went ahead despite the horrendous weather, in the hope that it might lessen as the stage progressed. Sadly this wasn't the case and the stage had to be cut short in the interest of safety. Fingers crossed day 2 from Glasgow to Perth will go ahead as planned.

Day 1 - Dundee – Dunfermline

Day 2 – Glasgow – Perth

Day 3 – Edinburgh – Edinburgh
