Scottish Cycling Mini DH Finals 2019

1st June | Nevis Range, Fort William

As the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup comes back to town, so does the Mini DH Finals! This is an excellent event for our budding young athletes to mix it on the same course as the Elites. This weekend, the young Mountain Bikers will share the same hillside as their heroes and will even stand on the same podium. If you’re planning on making the trip to watch the main event, this is definitely worth stopping in for.

2019 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup #2

31st May – 2nd June | Nevis Range, Fort William

Home to the Mountain Bike World Cup since 2002, the Nevis Range will yet again play host when the best of the best come to town.

We’ve got two great days of competition on the Saturday and Sunday, plus lots of other activities in and around the World Cup Village. The Nevis Range ski area is taken over by the World Cup on these days and access to the World Cup Village and the event is by ticket only, available in advance or on arrival.

Volunteers’ Week

Volunteers’ Week, 1-7 June, is a chance to say thank you for the fantastic contribution that millions of volunteers make across the UK. This year, the campaign tagline is ‘time to celebrate’. Scottish Cycling will again be taking part and are looking for you to share your stories and experiences volunteering at our great events.

Coaching Week

During 3rd -9th June 2019, clubs, coaches, community groups, education, businesses and the public will come together to showcase and explore how coaches can play a greater role in building healthier, happier communities.

Coaching means helping people to be active, whatever your title - coach, fitness instructor, leader, teacher or trainer - if you're helping people to be active, you're part of the coaching family. Coaching Week will be a springboard for inspiring the public and policymakers to value the amazing work you do and to empower you to grow your PEOPLE skills.

Scottish National 25 Mile Time Trial Championship 2019

2nd June | Forfar

The Scottish National 25 Mile Time Trial Championship 2019 gets underway in Forfar this weekend. Defending champions Victoria Smith and Kyle Gordon have already found themselves on the top step of a TT National Championship this year and are looking in great form.

UCI Nations Cup U23

1st June – 2nd June | Poland

The ORLEN Wyścig Narodów, belonging to the prestigious UCI Nations Cup series, will take place for the first time in Poland on 1-2 June. This is an exceptional event in which teams from around the world will fight for the victory. The event comprises of outstanding riders, national teams and demanding mountain routes around Bukowina Tatrzańska. Stuart Balfour will be making the journey represent the Great Britain Cycle Team.

Scottish National Alba Series #4: The Anderside Classic (inc. SC West Championship)

2nd June | Sandford

The next round of the Scottish National Alba Series is taking place this Sunday. The Anderside Classic is being organised by VC Astar and Anderside Tools and will incorporate the Scottish Cycling West Championships.

Jelenia Góra Trophy Maja Włoszczowska MTB- XC UCI HC + Junior Series

1st June – 2nd June | Poland

This weekend, Jelenia Góra is set to become the Polish capital of cycling, with major events being held, expected thousands of participants and spectators. Amongst the multi-national line up at the start will be a host of Scottish riders looking to make their marks.

Both Charlie Aldridge and Sean Flynn are coming off incredible performances from last week. Isla Short and Anna McGorum are on form and looking to put in a good performance this weekend to follow on from their recent good results.
