Scottish rider Finlay Graham will ride as part of the Great British Cycling Team for the UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup in Ostend, Belgium, this weekend.

Fin is new to the GBCT programme but is very ambitious and has shown great promise on both the track and the road internationally. He who competed in the 2018 Road World Championship in Maniago and had a great ride, so will be looking to emulate this success in Belgium.

Joining Fin in Ostend will be a group of very experienced cyclists in the shape of world championship medallists Lora Fachie and Corrine Hall, Ben Watson and Craig Collis-McCann.

The event – which takes place between Thursday and Sunday – is the first international road competition of the season for the majority of the team, and signals the start of their preparation for September’s UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships.

At Scottish Cycling, we are thrilled to see our young athletes progressing to the Great Britian Cycling Team programme. Commenting on the support Scottish Cycling has provided over the years he said:

“Scottish Cycling has contributed towards my development as an athlete and helped me become the rider I am today. Now that I’m part of the Great Britain Podium Potential Programme, I know that support will always be there whenever I need it.”

Hannah Dines will also be riding the UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup for her trade team. We will be following both Hannah and Fin throughout the weekend and look forward to hearing how their races go.
