HSBC UK British National Cross Country Series Round 2

It was a great day for Scottish riders Kerry MacPhee, Grant Furguson and Charlie Aldridge were on top of the podium at round two of the HSBC UK National Cross-Country Series at the iconic Hadleigh Park this weekend.
“It’s my first National series win after being the bridesmaid a gazillion times was so I’m chuffed to bits” said MacPhee. “I wanted a good race here as I was ill and I had to pull out of the last round.”
Charlie Aldridge (Stirling Bike Club) got the most impressive start, opening a significant gap having barely completed the start loop.
Chasing group of Scots including Jonte Willins, Rory McGuire and Jamie Johnson were joined by French rider Theo Auzoux but never got back on terms with the charging Aldridge.
Johnson (Leslies Bike Boutique) was able to break away and give solo chase but Aldridge’s lead always looked decisive and he closed out a comfortable win with Johnson taking second and Rory McGuire (Leslie’s Bike Boutique) winning the last lap battle for third.

Multiple Scottish National Champion winner Alfie George finished a very impressive fifth in the second round of the Junior Men's Nation's Cup, Paris Roubaix this weekend.
Healthy Ageing Tour
The Netherlands
10th -14th April, 2019
Rhona Callander was riding The Healthy Ageing Tour in the Netherlands last week for the Great Britian Cycling Team. She finished second in the youth (u23) category as well as an outstanding 12th overall.
