Scottish National Team time trial championships

Forfar, Angus, 23 September

Spokes RT

The Scottish National Team Time Trial Championships will return to Forfar this Sunday for the third year in a row. This year, defending champions BioRacer-Project Go have four strong and evenly matcheed riders, while Kyle Gordon will be driving the pace for RT23, making for quiet the competition. Dooleys will be trying to retain their position on the podium, while organising club Spokes RT will be keen to put on a good show on home roads. Youth team Squadra Scozzese, are bringing fresh legs to the race and look set to put down a good time.

In the ladies Championship, the three top teams return to do battle. The playing field has been levelled somewhat in that the ladies teams are now also made up of four riders. Last year RT23 had a number of mechanical issues, with only three riders in each team, they had to get everybody to the finish. Dooleys return as favourites, but last years runners up Stirling BC and the RT23 team will be trying to change the final podium.

There are two teams not eligible for the Championship, composite Team 282 set up by Sandy Wallace is a team of vets who’s combined ages add up to 282!
