Some fantastic results for Scots competing in the Mountain Bike World Cup and Junior Road Race Championships this weekend.

Mercedes-Benz UCI MTB World Cup Cross Country

The Mercedes-Benz UCI MTB World Cup Cross Country moved to Vallnord, Andorra, site of the 2015 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, for Round 5 of both the Downhill and Cross-country series. Isla Short rode brilliantly to secure 6th place in Vallnord in the Under 23 category.Scottish riders where dominent in the Men's Downhill with Henry Kerr storming to 2nd place, while Jamie Edmondson came 4th.

HSBC UK Junior Mens and Womens National Road Race Championships

Thirteen riders traveled down to Stamford to compete in the Junior Mens and Womens National Road Race Championships. The 69 mile Mens race was animated from the start, despite the blistering heat, with breaks being reeled in. Alfie George continued his run of fantastic results taking 4th place.
