2017 National Champions celebrated at the Scottish Cycling Roll of Honour at the BT Murrayfield Stadium.

Hosted by the charismatic sports commentator Joe Fisher, the evening was kicked off with a keynote speech from Craig MacLean MBE before the Scottish Cycling National Champions and Series Winners were given their awards. Some winners made multiple trips to the stage, including John Archibald and Cameron Mason, highlighting their dominance in the past season.

David Smith MBE then shared his experience of sport and overcoming incredible challenges. His inspirational story was met with a standing ovation from the audience.

The evening concluded with the presentation of the brand new, hotly contested Scottish Cycling Awards; Event Volunteer of the Year: Carole O’Hare, Club Coach of the Year: Jason Barnes and Club of the Year: West Lothian Clarion.

The Roll of Honour was once again be supported by our fantastic sponsor Digby Brown, whose Chief Executive, Fraser Oliver, said: “This Roll of Honour recognises the achievements of cyclists of all ages who have literally gone the extra mile, whether for themselves, their team or their country.”
