With Scotland boasting some fantastic mountain bikers this season – a 4th for Isla Short (OMX Pro Team) in Val Di Sole at the World Cup, and Jane Barr (Velocity 44) taking 1st place in the British Cross Country Mountain Bike Series – we anticipate some fantastic racing at this weekend’s Scottish National Cross Country Championships.

The event will take place on Sunday 3rd September in Glentress and has been organised by the Scottish Cross Country Association.

Isla Short will be taking to the start line to defend her title, but reigning men’s champion Robert Friel (Pro Vision Scotland) won’t be, leaving the title open for a new Champion.

Recent European Youth MTB Champion Charlie Aldridge (Stirling Bike Club), another of Scotland’s up and coming talent will also be attending, looking to defend his Youth title.
