The first of the British Cycling Inter-Regional Championships kicked off at the end of last month, with the Mountain Bike XC Championship taking place at Cathkin Braes, Glasgow, on 30-31st July.
Scotland had two teams competing in the Championships; Scotland East and Scotland West, represented by 16 Youth and Juvenile riders. And they couldn't have done any better!
Scotland East put in a dominant performace to take 1st Place, with Scotland West maintaining their 2nd place - despite strong competition from the team from Wales, who finished 3rd overall.
This follows on from a successful inter-regional season last year where Scotland South took 1st place, and Scotland North took 2nd.

Up next is the Road Inter-regional Championships which are this year incorporated into the 2016 School Games, which will take place at Loughborough University from2-4th September 2016.
Eight Youth A riders will represent Scotland in this multi-sport event, which provides young athletes with a fantastic learning experience both on and off their bike.
After a track success at the School Games last year - we hope the road team this year will be just as motivated by the multi-sport event. Last year Scotland came 3rd in the road inter-regionals.
