Scottish Cycling are saddened to hear of the passing of past club chairman, secretary and treasurer of the Glasgow Wheelers John Thayne. John`s funeral shall be at 1.30 P.M. on Wednesday 15th of July at the Clydebank crematorium.

John spent an exceptional amount of time in the service of our club, officiated at the 1986 Commonwealth games, was chairman of WOSCA, the SVTTA, was timekeeper at local and national events, and was always willing to help anybody who asked, no matter how difficult the task.

On behalf of the Scottish Cycling community our thoughts go out to John’s family at this difficult time.
