It’s three years since the Caird Park track was refurbished and the Discovery Junior Cycling club are planning a full series of events throughout the season.

Starting off in the Easter holidays, there will be three days of track coaching, aimed at getting riders ready and prepared for the British Cycling Youth Omnium series that’s kicks off at the Venue on Sunday 26th April.

Youth Coached sessions:

Wednesday 8th April Introduction to Track Racing -

Thursday 9th April – Intermediate Track Training - Enter

Friday 10th April – Track Training - Enter

Womens Go-Race, aimed at those new to the track, with a view to learning the skills to compete in Womens Omnium events:

Sunday 12th April – Go-Race -Enter

British Cycling Youth Omnium

Sunday 26th April - Enter

Spring Meeting

Includes a round of the British Cycling Hard Track Endurance League. This counting event will be for the Dundee Corporation – Scottish Cycling 15km Scratch Championship Trophy (Please note this is NOT the SC Scratch Championships), there will also be the North East 5 Mile Championship, a great chance to pick up a few points on your licence. There also be a Womens Omnium and Omnium events for Youth riders.

Autumn Meeting

Last open meeting of the year includes the British Cycling Sprinters League and British Cycling Womens Omnium League. Not to be left out there will also be the usual Youth events.

Sunday 23rd August - Enter

Last by not least, Coach led racing will start up on a Thursday evening 6:30 – 9:00 from 16th April.

Bike availability

The Discovery JCC does have bikes available for the above sessions and events, where not being used by club members.
