This Sunday 14th September, the Scottish Cycling National Youth Time Trail Championships will take place in Newton Mearns, Glasgow.
Over 56 Under 14 and Under 16 riders will take to a 10 mile course on the A77 just south of Glasgow. The undulating route will test riders’ abilities to pace them-selves as well as show off their out and out speed over the distance. Several of 2013’s medallists will return to defend their title or carry it forward into a new age-category.
As well as hosting the Youth Time Trial Championships, the event organisers, the Glasgow Riderz, will host an Open 10mile Time Trial. An additional 44 Senior and Junior riders will take to the route to compete, which includes 7 female cyclists. It’s certainly not an event to be missed.
Scottish Cycling would like to thank the Glasgow Riderz for hosting the event as well as all the volunteers, officials and riders which make events like this possible.
