Scottish Cycling’s Head of Development Lynne Munro will leave Scottish Cycling on the 10th October 2014 for an exciting new opportunity working with cyclists in Australia.
Lynne who joined Scottish Cycling from Bike NZ (New Zealand) has made a great contribution in bringing our development staff together as a cohesive team. As Scottish Cycling move forward our Strategic Plan for 2015-19 and the process of Regionalisation we thank Lynne for the support and guidance that she has provided in creating and delivering our development strategy over the last year.
Scottish Cycling will now undertake an open and robust recruitment process to seek a new Head of Development which is a critical role for the organisation in providing leadership and support to our development staff. Our development staff team is made up of 5 Regional Development Officers, 2 Events Officers and Education and Training Officer who have a national remit. Application forms and further details on the job can be found here.
Jim Riach, Corporate Services Manager indicated “This is a key role for the organisation and we aim to make an appointment as soon as possible. We have a great staff team and would anticipate it to be very much business as usual for our development staff as we refocus our strategic and business plans and prepare for regionalisation. If you need to contact any of the development team you can find their contact details here”
Lynne Munro, Head of Development stated “Much of my focus has been on creating the model participation and performance pathway for cycling and cyclists in Scotland. Implementing the key elements of the pathway along with the Facility Strategy delivered earlier this year should see Scottish Cycling continue to go from strength to strength. With family still in Scotland I will keep an eye on how SC is doing as I head back down under.”
