Twelve teams took to the start of the Ecclefechan 3up TTT, promoted by Annan Youth Cycling Club with the help of Classic Racing Team.
Thankfully the rain stayed off but the riders had to battle 20mph winds. The 20 mile course was straight out and back with some “rolling climbs”. Despite the hard conditions there were some impressive times, with only 2 seconds separating the top 3 teams. Glasgow Nightingale took the win in a time of 44.45 with Team Thomson’s Cycles in 2nd place and Loudoun RC in 3rd. Paisley Velo were the top female team with a time of 54.46 despite one rider puncturing with 3 miles to go. The youths completed a shorter course of 13miles and the promoting club took the win with a time of 39.38.
