2014 Abernethy Gravity Camps announced

Published on: 8th November 2013

In exciting news for young mountain bikers in Scotland, Scottish Gravity camp will be running in 2014. Young mountain bikers will have the fantastic opportunity to ride on the amazing 7-stanes trails at Peebles under the top-class tuition of Dirt School Coaches.

Abernethy’s Scottish Gravity camp will be running again in 2014 for its third year. The camp is run in association with Andy Barlow and his Dirtschool team, providing high level coaching and support to the young participants.

This is a great opportunity for young Mountain Bikers who are already competing at regional and national level to get together and have a fantastic week learning from professional coaches and to broaden their biking horizons with like-minded people who are of the same age and riding ability. The young riders will be able to hone their skills in a friendly, encouraging and supportive environment.

Further, Abernethy are also delighted to launch a new Pre-Season training weekend with Ben Cathro which promises to give participants a head start come race day. Racers will sharpen their race technique with tips and advice from British Downhill Champion, Ben Cathro.

Participants of both camps will get the chance to ride the amazing 7stanes trails at Glentress and Innerleithen while being instructed in XC, DH and Freeriding. The experience will allow young mountain bikers an all-round experience of biking with a focus on personal development, under the close supervision of trained Abernethy staff and professional coaches.

The camps will be organised by Barcaple Centre and will be based at Kailzie Bunkhouse near Peebles.
