MASTERS RACING IN SCOTLAND
(The Auld Yins wanting to play)
Racing for Ladies and Gentlemen of a certain age (30+ !!)
On Sunday 2nd June and Sunday 23rd there will be the opportunity for riders who are riding in either the British Masters, European Masters or World Masters to come along to the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome to take part in some coach led training (or do your own thing with prior agreement with the coach) as part of their preparation to try and bring home some medals in 2013 !!
Ivor Reid is organising the day and can be contacted on ivorreid12@aol.com – preference will be given to those riders entered into one of the masters competitions detailed below.
There will be a cost involved which will be dependent on the numbers taking part. (estimated at £15 per rider)
COMPETITION DATES:
28-30th June 2013 – British Masters Championship – Riders aged 30+ are able to ride
4-7th September 2013 – European Masters Championship – Riders aged 35+ are able to ride
6th to 12th October 2013 – World Masters Championship – Riders aged 35+ are able to ride

MASTERS RACING AT SC NATIONAL TRACK LEAGUE To encourage Masters racing Track League nights on 29th May and 19th June, which are Sprinters nights, will also be open for MASTERS endurance events – (age groups dependent on entrants) – enter the track league in the normal manner but email heather.sinclair@scottishcycling.org.uk if you want included in the MASTER races. (Please note if the numbers wanting to take part in the Sprint ladder increases this may not happen)

Master B 35 – 39 born in 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977 or 1978
From 1st Jan of year in which 35th birthday falls to 31st December of year in which 39th birthday falls.
Master C 40 – 44 born in 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 or 1973
From 1st Jan of year in which 40th birthday falls to 31st December of year in which 44th birthday falls.
Master D 45 – 49 born in 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967 or 1968
