Name : Kayleigh Brogan

I started racing as a youth on the track at 14 and soon committed myself to track sprinting after gaining selection for the British Youth Sprint Squad. After leaving the sport due to illness as a junior; I came back to the sport mid 2010 and made the decision to shift fromTrack Sprint to Track and Road endurance due to the more available opportunities in 2011. This is my 2nd full road season and will be racing throughout Europe and UK to gain selection for the Comonwealth Games in 2014 with Breast Cancer Care Cycling Team. As well as road, I will be racing and training full time on the track for World Cup selection and other major events and championships.
Through 2013, I am fully committed to gaining selection for 2014.

Who inspires you the most?
Anna mears. She represents a true althlete. Over coming illness, defeat and a broken back to still be one of the most iconic track racers currently. Watching the battles with Victoria Pendleton over the years and the effort she can put out is Inspiring. Tenacious and emotional in performance, which many can relate too.
How do you relax after a race?
Usually meet up with my friends and go out for dinner.
