Current National Elite mountain bike women's champion, Lee Craigie (Cannondale Racing), sprinted out of a seven-woman breakaway group to claim victory in the Munlochy Women’s Road Race in the Highlands.

On a rolling course riders set out to complete 5.5 laps of an 8.5 mile circuit making a total distance of 50 miles.

After two laps a winning breakaway of eight women broke clear of the peloton and were never seen again.

Coming up to the finish the break had swelled to seven and they sprinted up the final climb where Craigie, aged 34, from Inverness won by a bike length.

Taking in second place was Chloe Fraser, from Dingwall and in third place was Mona Petrie (Deeside Thistle CC).
