Winner of the Abberton Road Race last time out, Steven Griffiths led a one-two for Pro Cycle Hire UK RT with victory in a bunch sprint to Lea Valley CC’s event after three and three-quarter laps of the Radwinter circuit in Essex.
The 26-year-old, from Hornchurch, edged out team-mate Joe Giggins on the rise to the finish with a gap of two seconds to Alex Anderson (ASFRA Racing Team) in third place.
The field stayed together throughout the 94.5-km race with a high tempo discouraging any attempts to form a break.
