Road: McNamara wins latest Lewes Wanderers Road Race

Third in the opening round, Simon McNamara (Southdowns Bikes) secured victory in the second race of the Lewes Wanderers Evening Road Race Series staged in East Sussex this week.

The 38-year-old from near Henfield in West Sussex came home just ahead of the promoting club’s Rob Pelham, 36 and from Uckfield, who had taken victory in the previous week’s opening race.

Team ASL360 had Martin Markowski on the podium, the 45-year-old from Hastings just edging out Steven Willis (Eastbourne Rovers).
