Alex Bottomley (Wheelbase Altura) made it two wins from two as the 19-year-old Saltburn product finished first in event two of the Thursday Evening Crit League in Middlesbrough.

Richard Meadows, 23, improved on his fourth-place finish from round one to finish second on the podium.

A relative veteran to the youngsters at the front, 28-year-old Darlington rider Alan Nixon (Blackhawk Bikes) finished third.
