Fresh from his victory in the Tour of the Reservoir two-day, Evan Oliphant (Team Raleigh) followed up by winning GJS Cruise Racing’s 55-mile O’er The Crow ’n’ Doon road race in a sprint finish from Ben Greenwood (Team Hope Factory Racing) at Fintry.

The pair dominated the closing stages of the two-lap race with the testing 3.5-mile Crow Road climb from Lennoxtown, in the Campsie Fells, and its changes in gradient tearing the field apart – the 49 finishers, from 74 starters, spread out over 22 minutes.

Oliphant and Greenwood crossed the line a minute clear of third-placed Harry Tanfield (Herbalife-Leisure Lakes Bikes.com) with veteran Jamie Kennedy (Paisley Velo RT) a further 13 seconds down in fourth.

The race split into three groups first time up the climb and the leading four went clear at the start of the second lap with Oliphant and Greenwood then breaking away from the other two on the climb and holding their advantage on the fast four-mile descent to the finish.
