Location: Balloch, Inverness
Event: 21 April 2013
Report: Snowdon Sports
It was a windy day on the moor with five laps of a seven-mile circuit.
After 10 minutes the scratch group had to catch the first group and at halfway through the third lap all the groups merged almost at the same time which opened the race up nicely.
There were a few attacks on the climb on the last lap and that caused a few to get dropped leaving a six-man gallop for the finish with promoting club’s Mike Henderson taking the glory ahead of RAF elite mountain biker Ross Mallen.
