Teenager Craig Wallace led Granite City RT to a one-two in the Aberdeen District Evening Road Race on Thursday, promoted by Ythan CC around Tarves in Scotland.

Wallace crossed the line more than two minutes ahead of his older team-mate Veli-Matti Raikkonen at the end of the 35-mile race.

Aberdeen Wheelers’Michael Fletcher was third, just behind Raikkonen who led in a group of ten chasers, while the rest of the bunch came home in fragments with the pace having left many behind.

Wallace is in a rich vein of form at the moment, having won the Team Road Race last Sunday as well as taken second spot in stage five of the Tour of Wales the previous weekend.
