The will kick off its second season on Croft Motor Racing Circuit on 28 January.

The opening race is followed by two further events in the series on the 11 and 18 February, cumulating on the 25 February with the prestigious North East Trophy.

Richard Williamson, of Velo29, commented: “Last year saw numbers of around 60 per event which made for some great racing. The North East has been sadly lacking an early season event and the Velo29 series plugs the gap nicely.

“Velo29 events always have a nice feel to them and the tasty cakes, friendly atmosphere, prize presentation and a few other nice touches go a long way to brushing off the odd snow shower and making the day out fun.”

The racing kicks off at 11:30am with a 4th cat/Go-race 45 minute race followed at 12:30pm by the E/1/2/3/4 handicap which laps approximately one hour. Both races are £15 but 4th cats entering the Go-race event can ride both races should they wish.
