NCRA Summer Handicap Series Race 5

Event Details

The latest race of the Northamptonshire Cycle Racing Association's Summer Handicap Series was held over five laps of the undulating six mile Southwick circuit on Tuesday 28th June.

Posting his first road race win was first year senior Sam Crabtree on Welland Valley CC in 1.18.55.
Benefitting from favourable handicapping, Crabtree looked very comfortable throughout the race and eased away from his five man group at the foot of the final climb.

Second, at five seconds was Peter Kucak of Rockingham Forest Wheelers, followed by John Hardwick of Kettering CC and Stuart Dawkins of Welland Valley CC at 11 seconds. Ian Dick of Rockingham Forest was fifth at 37 seconds, followed by Leighton Davies of Nottingham Clarion, Chris Palfreeman of 45 Road Club, Richard Ostler of St Neots CC, Matt Garfield of Fenland Clarion and Karl Reid-Simpson of Arbis LLB-Roy Pink Cycles, all at 1.09.
