Team Royal London 360 Isle of Man's Youth League Round 16

There was another large turnout of 259 competitors at the NSC last Tuesday night for round 16 of Team Royal London 360 Isle of Man's Youth League.
 
Leaving the rest of the field behind her to fight over the minor placings, Sophia Littlewood continued her winning ways in the novices class. Joel Garrett was a safe second ahead of Ryan Blair, who outgunned Amy Quayle for third place. Mia Littlewood overcame Emma Stratford for fifth and Harry Callin led Matilda Clague and Ryan Edwards over the line to claim seventh. Oliver Corkish put in a late surge to pip Ealish Cook, Jacob Kenny and Lilli-Mae Doyle for the final place on the top ten leader board.
 
In the born 2005 & later age group Harry Kneen sealed the overall honours with his eleventh win of the series. Nathan Cannell beat Joseph Humphrey and Mairi Harrison in the dash for second place, with Chloe Dillon a lonely fifth ahead of chasers Chloe Comaish, Zachary Dillon and Joshua Cottrell, who continues to improve with every race. Harvey Coole edged out Abby Vance and Matthew Young for ninth, while Liam Smith took the bunch sprint for twelfth.
 
Leading from start to finish, Dillon Dowson scored a clear victory in the born 2004 category. Ralf Holden held off Joshua Dudley for second and James Devereau got away from Nathan Slack and Cameron Dudley to snatch fourth. Seventh placed Ben Boyle came in on his own and Lucy Corlett got the better of Ross Quayle and Kiera Prentice to take the girls' prize in eighth spot.
 
Percy Hampton escaped from a leading group of five riders to pick up maximum points in the born 2003 event. Jonty Bregazzi grabbed second ahead of Jake Wilson, Jack Christian and Matthew Black, with top girl Darcy Cain fending off Jack Collister and Ryan Quirk for sixth. Thomas Skillicorn pipped relative newcomer Tyler Hannay in the battle for ninth.
 
Charlie Gibson attacked his four breakaway partners on the final lap to win the born 2002 race. Will Corkill was second followed by Aaron Lund, Nicholas Kissack and James Harrison. A determined Blae Cain kept Liam Crook at bay in the fight for sixth and Joshua Mills had the edge on Sam Corlett, Charlie Moss and Alistair Flint in the gallop for eighth.
 
In the born 2001 class Tyler Cain went from the gun and gapped the field. Adam Scarffe got across to him on the penultimate lap and had enough energy left to take the sprint for the chequered flag. Tosh Teare was too strong for Emma Draper and Juan Kneen in the tussle for third.
 
Tom Murray had too much speed for Sam Batey and Ben Christian in the dash at the end of the born 2000 three lapper. Tom's twin brother Luke ousted Adam Kelly and Joseph Corkish for fourth.
 
Returning from an injury that kept her out of action for four weeks, Breeshey Cain did well to finish third behind Matthew Draper and Phoebe Ferguson in the born 1999-97 grouping. Tara Ferguson and Alex Cain completed the top six.
 
Seven year old Charlie Gibson grabbed an impressive win in the under 10 racing bikes, with man of the moment Owen Dudley coming out on top in the under 12 racing bikes and Jake Kelly taking the spoils in the under 16's.
