Newcastle-upon-Tyne's Alan Henry would like nothing better than sharing a tandem with two-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome.

However 44-year-old Alan has a record of his own - on 30 August 2015 he set a British record by cycling solo from the Irish Sea to the North Sea (Silloth to Tynemouth) in just of four hours, one minute and 55 seconds!

Alan is pictured above (centre) celebrating the completion of this mammoth effort with the North Sea as a backdrop.
