Event Summary

Event Overview

New for 2013 this race aims to give riders the unique opportunity of competiting in a team based track event.  The program is loosely based on the Youth Inter-Regional Track Championships so is ideal preparation for riders hoping to compete in that event.

Teams will be able to choose which riders they nominate for each event.  All riders must compete in 1 event per session.  


Youth Girls (A/B)
- Session 1:     Match Sprint (3 rounds): 1 rider per team

                                   or, Scratch Race (8 laps): 1 rider per team

or, Individual Pursuit (4 laps): 1 rider per team

- Session 2:     Keirin (2 rounds): 1 rider per team

or, Team Elimination Race: 2 riders per team

- Session 3:     Team Pursuit (4 laps): All riders

Youth Boys (A/B)
- Session 1:     Match Sprint (3 rounds): 1 rider per team

or, Scratch Race (12 laps): 2 riders per team or, Individual Pursuit (4 laps): 1 rider per team

- Session 2:     Keirin (2 rounds): 2 riders per team

or, Team Elimination Race: 2 riders per team

- Session 3:     Team Pursuit (6 laps): All riders

There are only spaces for 12 male and 12 female teams.  If the event is over-subscribed the organiser will select entrants using the following criteria to select entrants:

1. Teams made up entirely of riders from the same club. 1 Team per club.

then

2. Teams made up entirely of riders who compete in the same track league

then

3. '2nd' or 'B' Teams made up entirely of riders from the same club.

then

4. Composite teams.
