Event Summary

Event Overview

On 13th May celebrity Tom Lister will fly to Latvia to lead a team of cyclists across Europe and into the UK. In total the team will cover over 2,700km in just 20 days. This is called the Zoe Challenge. Upon arrival in the UK teams of cyclists will join them in their four day journey down from Hull, through to London before finally cycling the victory leg into Southampton.

The Zoe Challenge is in support of anti-human trafficking charity Hope for Justice. Hope for Justice works in the UK to bring freedom to the victims of human trafficking living in situations of exploitation in our nation. Hope for Justice employs experienced investigators to gather intelligence and then actively engage in the rescue of those trapped in situations of exploitation. The charity's specialist aftercare support team will work alongside victims and signpost them to relevant organisations that can provide the rehabilitation they so desperately need. More information about the charity can be found at www.hopeforjustice.org.uk

We are doing this cycle ride because of Zoe. Zoe was trafficked from Latvia into the UK for the purposes of sexual exploitation, where she was repeatedly raped for profit.  After months of investigations, Hope for Justice found and rescued Zoe, and she is now living in freedom.

About the Event

Info for Riders

Anti-human trafficking charity Hope for Justice are offering British Cycling Members a great opportunity to cycle with celebrity Tom Lister during his most challenging day of the epic Zoe Challenge. On 31st May Tom Lister will cycle 125 miles from Leicester to London – the penultimate day for the Zoe Challenge. You will journey through the heart of Middle England through farmland and woodland. The landscapes are typically English and flat for much of the way, though there are some short steep hills en-route. The roads get busier as we near the outskirts of London, but we take it steady and pass through the streets of the capital, taking in fantastic sights including Westminster. The ride will finish in London Hammersmith. Your entry fee is exclusive to British Cycling members and covers logistical support, lunch, and water and snacks en route. The fee will also cover a charitable contribution to support the life transforming work of Hope for Justice.
