Truro Randonnee

OnRoad Leisure , Truro – Sunday, 16 Jun 2013

Event Summary

Event Overview

Discover the picturesque lanes of Cornwall

For those people entering for the first time, a randonnée is NOT a race, but the aim of the ride is for cyclists to complete a course, following a set of written instructions at an average speed of between 7.5mph and 15mph. With a choice of distances (48,62 or 100 miles) anyone can enter! Usually riders will ride in groups, but some people ride alone.

Any type of road-worthy pedal-cycle can be used and this is an open event with a warm welcome assured to all cyclists, no club membership is necessary.  We have designed a challenging but not too hilly route, starting & finishing in Truro, Cornwall. It will be properly organised with manned check-points, refreshment stops and an emergency telephone contact number.  There will be ample car-parking available at the start;  food and refreshment is included in the entry-fee.

Truro Cycling Club is 25 years old this year and we have been organising this event for 23 of those years.
